Problem-Solving for Congregations and Families
Becoming an Instrument of Peace
This six-hour workshop can be tailored to fit your congregational needs. You may want to have a Saturday workshop session, or you may prefer to have the workshop spread over four Wednesday evenings. We will work with you to find a format that works with your congregation.
DIFFERENCE...
DISAGREEMENT...
CONFLICT...
Each of us, and the congregations and families we are a part of, has experienced the tension and challenge of managing interpersonal disagreements.
However, few of us have mastered the skills necessary to manage conflict with confidence, grace, and a loving spirit. Too often people of faith experience strong disagreement as failure, and experience as sin. Yet conflict is a natural part of human interaction, even in the most committed religious organizations.
This workshop is designed to encourage a re-thinking of biblical foundations for handling conflict, and to learn and practice cooperative problem-solving tools for inter-personal and group interaction.
Don't wait until conflicts have deteriorated into destructive fights. Gain valuable skills now and learn to manage the power of difference and disagreement for creative growth and renewal.
DO NOT EXPECT A TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM SETTING!
Be prepared to learn while engaged in a variety of unique experiential activities that will improve individual skills and strenghten congregational and family bonds.
